summer into autumn...

whatever an Indian summer actually is who knows...I just know September had some delightful sunny days, calm and quiet, a little wild heavy rain, then more sunshine. I sat outside for breakfast and lunch to make the most of it...and went a-weeding in the veggie patch, or doing jobs like painting linseed oil onto doors and windows ready for winter were a pleasure. The hens sunned themselves on my doorstop throughout C-art, which made for feathers drifting into in my studio as they are all moulting! And being among the last of the summer flowers was a timeless joy...

I held Open Studio for three weekends and it was just a delight...

been playing in the studio with autumnal ideas too...

 paint paper and stitch anyone?

mmm feeling more creative now the rush is over, somehow sliding into autumn just calms it all down and the juices get flowing, more time for being indoors drawing and painting as well as stitching, tho of course stitching is never far from my thoughts as I love the texture it creates!

Sorry it's been a while since I last posted, there seems to have been all sorts of other things to do, like sort out the house and studio after C-art, so I'd like to get back into a blogging, as I miss the creative feel it gives me and the contact with the outside world...

back soon, have a lovely creative week...
