it seems I haven't been here for a few weeks, not sure where I've been except in the land of busyness! Making for an exhibition entry and keeping up with the veg patch and...life stuff! So my apologies and here's a wee blog to 'put you on' as a dear friend says...it is SUMMER and I guess we all need to be enjoying the wonderful weather and get some Vitamin D and relaxation...I'm off next week to do some sketchbooking so will let you see what I get up to soon...can't wait!

Here's a little of my recent work, a bodice based around the idea of precious cloth being kept down the generations and used and re-used, seen as a valuable comodity rather than throw away as it seems we tend to do nowadays...inspired by a Vitorian black cape which belonged to my great grandmother...and somehow translated into an Elizabethan styled bodice...

and the beginnings of my headpiece, dissolvable film and stitch...

I have to say I am pleased with the finished pieces...so just need to do the paperwork and send off my entry with fingers crossed, I have so enjoyed the making process and that to me is what it is all about, expressing my creativity...

have a lovely week

Emma xx
